Famous Names and Creators behind the Looney Tunes
The list below is not a complete resource for the Looney Tunes characters. Animator and Director all worked together on the creation of the Looney Tunes cartoon characters. You might say a group effort was made to find the personalities and characteristics for all the characters.

Mel Blanc - Voice Actor
He was the famous voice of several Looney Tunes character including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck  and Porky Pig.

Chuck Jones - Animator and Director
Creator of Pepe Le Pew,  Wile E. Coyote, The Road Runner, Henery Hawk  Michigan J. Frog and also played a large part in the creation of Marvin the Martian. He also contributed to a host of other characters. 

Friz Freleng - Animator and Director
Creator of Porky Pig and Slyvester and contributor to a variety of other Looney Tunes characters

Bob Clampett - Animator and Director
Creator of Tweety and Daffy Duck

Tex Avery - Animator and Director
He was the creator of Porky Pig and Daffy Duck. He also made major contribution to deveoping Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd.

Robert (Bob) McKimson - Animator and Director
Creator of Tazmanian Devil and Hippety Hopper and contributor to a variety of other Looney Tunes characters.

Carl Stalling - Musical Director
Composed music for Warner Bros. cartoons from 1936-1958.

Quick Notes and Facts

The Looney Tunes have been entertaining audiences almost 75 years. The first Looney Tunes cartoon made its debute in 1930 featuring Bosko in the cartoon Sinkin' in the Bathtub.

The Merrie Melodies series began in 1931, mainly to promote Warner Bros. songs.

Porky Pig, Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny made their debutes between 1935-1940.

The Looney Tunes gain popularity in 1960 with the weekly series The Bugs Bunny Show shown on ABC.

We all know the Warner Bros. name but do you know the names of the brothers it represented?
